How can I become a member of the IFC?

You can become a member by filling out the registration form on our website and paying the annual membership fee.

What's in it for myself?

As a member of the IFC, you have access to exclusive social events, excursions, trips, cultural and language exchange opportunities and a network of international friends.

What kind of events does the IFC offer?

We organize informal monthly meetings called 'Stammtisch', cultural and touristic events like excursions and day trips as well as regular meetings for intercultural exchange.

How much is the membership fee?

Our membership fee is as follows:

(1) €40.00 for couples and families with their children (up to and including 15 years of age)

(2) €30.00 for singles/single people aged 16 and over

(3) Couples/families and single people who live very far away but still do not want to lose contact with us pay half of the amounts stated under (1) and (2).

(4) Honorary members are free of charge.

Membership fees are due annually in advance on January 1st.

Membership fees can be paid in three ways...

(a) Direct debit authorization (please fill out and sign the backside of the membership application and send it back to us) - most comfortable for you as you don't need to worry about paying in time. However, this way requires you to have a Euro bank account within the Euro zone.

(b) Electronic bank transfer to our bank account

(c) Cash Payment

About us

The International Friendship Club Oberammergau is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to bringing people of diverse cultures together. Since our founding in 1982, we have organized numerous events in Oberammergau and the surrounding area to create a space for intercultural encounters and mutual understanding. What sets us apart is our partnership with the community of Oberammergau and to NATO School Oberammergau.
